Conference Calls Going International

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

Conference Calls have increased in popularity for business users across the globe as they offer a cost efficient way to stay in contact with clients, partners and colleagues.

Conferencing services make it possible to not only connect with those located in a different state or office location, but also unites those located in different parts of the world who can join in on the call without having to leave their desk.

Conference calls foster teamwork by allowing those working toward a goal to share ideas and collaborate as well as increases productivity and helps businesses more quickly move toward their goals.

Also, a conference call can be used instead of email communications to help contacts from across international borders more effectively communicate and avoid misunderstandings or confusion that can occur in a written email exchange.

Not only are conference calls useful for conducting meetings across international borders, also they can be used for training, presentations and other uses.

Conference call services from Eagle Teleconferencing provide businesses with cost effective collaboration capabilities whenever they need it. The company has a worldwide network connection infrastructure and a capacity of over 10 billion minutes.

A report from Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert) found that the hosted Web conferencing services market in Asia-Pacific reached 37.6 percent year-on-year growth in 2007 with a similar high per-annum growth average predicted for the next six years.

The study also found that "Australia, Japan and Greater China are the top three revenue contributors in the Web conferencing services sector and that the main adopters of Web conferencing include high technology services and banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sectors."

Eagle has operations in the U.S., Italy, the U.K., France, Germany, and India. Earlier this year, the company announced it would provide a free trial offer of their conference call services to new customers in India.

In a recent interview with TMC (News - Alert), Eagle's founder Kent Charugundla commented on the power of teleconferencing as a productivity tool that allows objectives to be achieved without a face-to-face meeting.

"In today’s competitive business environments, organizations around the world are searching for better and innovative ways to get the most of their meetings. We make it easier, and far more valuable and effective to collaborate with co-workers, partners, and customers locally and globally. It should be emphasized that audio conferencing is an enhancement to business communications, not a replacement."
