Conference Calls Increase Along with New Network Services and Technologies

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

As telecom infrastructure continues to evolve to support IP communications and now also wireless communications, conference calls are increasing in demand.

Teleconferencing and the ability to have a conference call with contacts at a different physical location is proving valuable for business and personal communications needs.

With the addition of Voice over IP (VoIP) and wireless, more teleconferencing capabilities are becoming available to provide users with landline IP and wireless phones the ability to have a conference call.

Teleconferencing and the ability for users to communicate via a conference call has increased productivity and provided a much more convenient alternative to costly travel.

For the teleconferencing market, this boost in network services and solutions is fostering a greater demand in teleconferencing and a greater investment in teleconferencing equipment as well as allowing for global expansion.

Conference calls have also become more available as low cost broadband connections and wireless networks increase in popularity. With wireless connections, users are able to participate in a conference call even while on the go. This and other conference call solutions provide new and innovative ways for today's competitive business environments and organizations around the world to get the most of their meetings

Eagle Teleconferencing, a provider of conference call solutions has responded to this growth and entered the booming Indian market with Eagle India to offer value-added services including phone conferencing, IVR and voicemail capabilities.

"Our audio bridging network handles any originating or terminating traffic, whether it is landline phone or IP phone or wireless phone, anywhere in the world, at any time," Kent Charugundla, founder and CEO of EagleNet Group, commented in an interview with TMC's (News - Alert) Rich Therani.
