Social Networks & Conference Call Audio Web Services

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

As the web conferencing market continues to grow at a rapid rate, there is a particular increase in multimedia conferencing taking place that includes audio, video and web conferencing services.

The uptake in these services has, with the rest of the world, become a part of the online social networking phenonmen.

With online social networks like Myspace, Friendster and LinkedIn, people are finding it easier to connect with others located across the globe and expand their realm of personal and professional relationships.

Many of these sites, as a value-added option, include teleconferencing capabilities that make it possible for the contacts to communicate using their voice or even via video rather than just using text. Also, with audio and video, users are able to communicate in real-time as opposed to near-real time.

This added layer of connectivity offers a revolutionary way for contacts to communicate and helps build business communications by expanding boundaries and helping foster better relationships with global societies.

In this way, social networks are having a positive effect on the teleconferencing market. And as more and more businesses realize the benefits of utilizing the virtual world for their meetings; these numbers are set to soar.

In a recent interview with Technology Marketing Corporation's Group Publisher and Group Editor-in-Chief, Rich Tehrani (News - Alert) for Customer Inter@ction Solutions magazine, Kent Charugundla, CEO and President of Eagle Conferencing commented, "Business Teleconferencing is on the rise, opening channels of communication for businesses with more efficiency than ever. Today, companies are utilizing telephone and Web conferencing as new ways to drive results and boost bottom-line revenue. Social networks have replaced the more traditional boundaries."

Eagle Teleconferencing provides worldwide network connection infrastructure and conferencing options for productivity and reliability-- making it easier and more cost-effective to communicate with people from any location, at any time.

"During the last ten years we've evolved out infrastructure to support both IP communications and wireless communications. Our audio bridging network handles any originating or terminating traffic, whether it’s a landline phone or IP phone, or wireless phone, anywhere in the world, at any time," Charugundla also said.

Conferencing solutions are important to social networks for their ability to bring more collaborative and social capabilities to users, while social networking has made its mark by offering users a way to interact, share and communicate with others. For this reason the phenomenon has grown remarkably and is taking collaboration solutions, like teleconferencing, to an entirely new level.
