Conference calls need to be simple, and that’s the logic behind the release of the new Citrix OpenVoice mobile app.
Citrix, best known for its GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar and GoToTraining solutions, is trying to make conference calling an easier process with the rollout of the OpenVoice app. The new service offers workers a simple, one touch feature to join and no need to enter access codes or memorize call ID information. The app also allows users to organize and schedule meetings as well as generate an email calendar invitation with the conference call information all in one place.
“Audio conferencing remains a staple for many SMB business operations to handle employee, customer and prospect as well as shareholder engagement,” noted Rohit Shah in a statement by the company, product line director Citrix. “As more people rely on their mobile devices as the primary communication tool, it was important for us to make that experience simple.”
Shah added “The common frustration and fumbling around that many users experience having to join their conference calls while mobile (on the go) has been eliminated, ultimately improving time to benefit and improving customer satisfaction.”
The OpenVoice app can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store or Google (News - Alert) Play.
Citrix is not the only company making conference calling simple and easy to access, however.
AT Conference also keeps it simple for quick, impromptu conference calling and scheduling. The conference call service provider offers a reservationless conference calling option that is completely on-demand, and can be set up instantly from any phone.
At the same time as it is simple to use, the AT Conference service also comes with advanced conference call features such as call recording, a roll call option that gives one-button access to a list of all people currently on a call, and both flexible billing codes and usage reporting for easy call management.
With in increasing number of employees working outside of the office environment, collaboration and the ability to easily schedule and attend conference calls is more important than ever. There’s little room now for conference call solutions that are clunky and hard to use.
