IP5280 (News - Alert) Communications has announced the completion and immediate availability of its VoIP SuperNode, described by company officials as an “ultra-low-latency high-capacity business VoIP private network node.”
The SuperNode is delivered over Level 3 Communication's low-latency network routes across the U.S. and Europe, enabling IP5280 to offer direct on-net coverage to businesses in those regions.
The SuperNode is built inside the IP5280 CLOVER - IP5280's cloud-based computing platform, company officials say, adding that CLOVER's patent-pending architecture uses a network of best-of-breed feature servers to deliver optimal performance, increased redundancy and enhanced customization capabilities “at a lower cost point.”
“The IP5280 CLOVER architecture is one of the most robust cloud-computing networks in the IP telephony market today. Our enterprise customers rely on our IP network for the real time support of applications including voice and video, and it is crucial for us to partner with Level 3,” said Jeff Pelletier, CTO of IP5280.
Last month TMC’s (News - Alert) Carolyn J. Dawson wrote that IP5280 Communications acquired the VoIP and Internet services business accounts of RockyNet and the launch of CLOVER.
RockyNet’s IP telephony acquisition increases IP5280’s customer base by more than 15 percent and also enhances IP5280’s position as the largest business IP telephony communications provider in the Rocky Mountain region.
Another key feature in the IP5280 asset purchase is RockyNet’s IP Call-Control platform that will be integrated into the IP5280 CLOVER. CLOVER is a cloud based computing platform and its patent-pending architecture leverages a network of best-of-breed feature servers which including Broadsoft, Microsoft (News - Alert) OCS and open source.
