The cloud-based contact center market is an active space. The market research firm Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert) has predicted about $1.3 billion in revenue in 2010, and the company expects this to go further.
Contact centers are a fine example of the growing field of opportunities to change on-premise IT systems into cloud-based systems that provide flexibility, improved efficiency, simplicity and considerably lower prices.
Concentrating on this domain, Presence Technology (News - Alert), an international software provider of multichannel contact center solutions, is making efforts to make the companies aware of the salient features of using the cloud technology for contact centers. According to the company, there are various advantages for contact centers to shift to the cloud, and steps for incorporating cloud in contact centers can be simple, the company stated in a press release.
"Cloud in contact centers is now becoming the norm, but many contact centers are hesitant to migrate for fear of losing the investment they have on their current technology,” said John Fordham, sales manager for Presence Technology. “Presence will discuss the path for migrating to the cloud – from an on-premise model, to Hybrid and finally to the cloud, and Mr. McFadden will add expert insight on the many advantages for Contact Centers that transition to the cloud."
But the cloud contact center industry has yet to reach its optimum level. Numerous providers provide single services like call routing, live chat or workforce management. Others even connect them by way of the virtual dashboards.
Recently, TMC’s (News - Alert) Meenakshi Shankar reported that the company introduced its plan to officially unveil Presence for Healthcare at The 24th Annual Conference of Healthcare Call Centers, to be held June 20-22 in Philadelphia, PA. For more than twenty years, The Annual Conference of Healthcare Call Centers, produced by Healthcare Call Center Times, has been essential for those individuals overseeing and managing a healthcare call center.
