With the mobile workforce increasing, it has become almost incumbent on organizations to ensure the availability of data and software anywhere an Internet connection is available. An offshoot of that line of thinking led Mansa (News - Alert) Systems to launch CloudFone, an appexchange application that empowers Salesforce CRM with cloud telephony.
Twilio, which hosts a telephony infrastructure web service in the cloud, powers CloudFone. As a result, voice communication is also integrated into enterprise workflows even while using the Internet.
“Availability of data and software anywhere there is an active internet connection has been the key reason for higher adoption if Salesforce CRM,” said Siva Devaki CEO and founder of Mansa Systems, in a press release.
Devaki further added, “A large number of companies are looking for alternatives to employees working at the office and an increasing number of employees are on the go; making up a mobile workforce. CloudFone acts like a virtual secretary to them.”
Company officials are of the view that with the Twilio (News - Alert) platform powering CloudFone, businesses can build scalable and reliable communication applications.
Salesforce users can use the inherent features of CloudFone and rest assured that no business opportunity is missed. The Click-to-Call feature enables users to dial any phone number in Salesforce from Account, Lead or Contact directly.
Call-to-Lead alerts lead owners when a new lead is created and Call-to-Case prompts case owners to initiate calls when a new case is created. In addition, when a case is resolved users get a call from CloudFone to that effect.
CloudFone is offered for FREE for the initial set of customers. Details are available at the website.
In other news, Mansa Systems partnered with Notifo to launch Cloudify App- Mobile Notifications for Salesforce. Cloudify delivers notifications to mobile phones whenever new lead or case gets created in Salesforce.
