Really Simple Systems Builds Email Functionality into CRM System

By Mini Swamy, TMCnet Contributor

Direct contact with customers through e-mail ensures that they are consistently informed of their options and by regularly promoting the latest initiatives and service offerings through the same medium, businesses can ensure increased customer satisfaction.

Really Simple Systems claims to have succeeded in its effort to make CRM simple and straightforward for users by bundling the mass e-mailing functionality into its online, Web and small business CRM system, removing the complexity of linking e-mail and CRM together.

The new extension has reportedly been added to the company's marketing module in the Enterprise Edition and the integration is being regarded as a definite improvement over third party e-mailing systems, which involved a lot of manual moving of data between the two applications.

A huge plus about directly integrating the e-mail functionality into the CRM system is that the time and effort of moving data and results between the two applications is practically eliminated. Standard and custom e-mail templates are available and a huge degree of personalization thus becomes possible.

In addition, users can schedule e-mails for a specific date or over a period, attach multiple files and also host images. Scheduling of e-mails will allow marketers to even out lead generation, enhance the deliverability of e-mails and limit the amount of e-mails caught in spam filters.

The easy-to-use HTML editor helps non-technical marketing people to easily set up new mailshots.  The solution features clickable graphs and reports, click-throughs within the e-mail itself, ability to report spam, the option unsubscribe anytime and handle bounced e-mails. This leaves a lot of time to focus on other more important issues.

“Our mission is to make CRM Simple and by bundling the mass emailing functionality into the online CRM, web CRM and small business CRM system, we've removed the complexity of trying to link the two applications together," said John Paterson, CEO at ReallySimpleSystems

The new functionality will be available free of charge to all existing Enterprise Edition customers.

David Hutter of Real Training, a provider of training and testing services to the education industry, was a beta test user of the new extension and commented favorably on the integration of e-mail and CRM.

"We had been looking at using third party emailing systems like MailChimp, but the task of moving data between the online CRM, web CRM and small business CRM and emailing system was complicated and time-consuming. Integrating the two saves a huge amount of time and it is really useful to see the emailing stats tie directly into the campaigns in the CRM system,” Hutter said.

Really Simple Systems also announced it successfully integrated its new Intelligent Import feature into its popular Cloud CRM system. This new integration will now make the process of uploading user data a lot more easy and there is no longer the need for multiple file formats.
