Informatica Uses Zuora Solution to Launch Pay-as-You-Go Cloud Data Integration Service

Zuora, the subscription billing and commerce leader, announced that Informatica, a provider of data integration software, has used Zuora's (News - Alert) Subscription Commerce solution to launch Informatica Cloud Express, the latest edition the company's popular cloud integration service. The new Informatica Cloud edition is available as a self-service, usage-based subscription on salesforce.com's AppExchange.


"Informatica is a perfect example of a leading enterprise software company tapping into the massive cloud computing opportunity," said Shawn Price, president of Zuora. "We are excited how Informatica is using Zuora's subscription commerce platform to drive innovation from introducing new pricing models to providing customers with online self-service capabilities to manage their own subscriptions."

With the explosion of cloud computing and adoption of on-demand applications such as Salesforce CRM, Informatica launched a best-in-class SaaS (News - Alert) data integration solution in 2007, Informatica Cloud, and for three years running, it has been voted the Best Data Integration Application by salesforce.com customers on the AppExchange.

"Salesforce.com (News - Alert) gave us the platform and ecosystem to build our SaaS business around," said Ron Papas, general manager of Informatica Cloud in a statement. "Now with Zuora, we have the right commerce tools to instrument our business for growth and provide our customers with the self-service capabilities to buy only the cloud data integration services they need when they need them."

With more than 1,300 companies using Informatica Cloud to process over 50,000 jobs per day and integrate over 10 billion plus records per month, Informatica saw an opportunity to be the first provider in its space to offer customers a pay-as-you-go model with online Subscription Commerce capabilities.

By introducing the first pay-as-you-go model in the cloud integration space, Informatica has provided an easy point of entry for its customers from small businesses to enterprises to subscribe to Informatica Cloud Express, and with Zuora, Informatica was able to make this transition in only 60 days.

In 2009, Zuora provided TalentSpring, a SaaS provider of automated candidate sourcing services for the online recruiting industry, with Z-Billing and Z-Payments solutions. These solutions reduce time to market company products, which results in revenue growth.
