As more and more companies are moving to the cloud, the demand on the infrastructure and on the company as a whole is changing. Companies still need to be able to accomplish many of the same things, but also needs to do so in such a way as to streamline operations and keep costs at a healthy level. 

A recent Interop (News - Alert) event brought together CTO, Certeon, Donato Buccella with TMCnet’s Rich Tehrani to explore the exciting opportunities Certeon has been able to create as the only company providing software based monetization to support all cloud-based capabilities. Cloud computing solutions from Certeon (News - Alert) are designed to give scalability and flexibility. The company also enables the company to deploy solutions across the enterprise as the cost is lower.

At the same time, these solutions can support a large data center and small remote branch locations. When asked where the software lives, Buccella noted: “The software lives in a hypervizer of your choice.” He continued on price, “We don’t look at it as a price different one-to-one; we look at it as a TCO issue.” As for ROI – average amount of savings? Buccella noted that the application response time problem already exists and as you do server consolidation, you are separating your users from the application and everything gets slower.

The priority is that you still want to maintain the SLA. Certeon works with companies to reduce costs by making users more productive, saving bandwidth, and eliminating the need to buy more gear. As for coming changes, Buccella noted, “What we are seeing are customers are getting more sophisticated and understanding this situation and solutions to address them.”As for what is coming next, the company just launched a 4.0, fully virtualized architecture and most scalable and highest performing in the marketplace.
