ALOE Systems Maintains Global Presence as Carrier-Grade Softswitch Provider

By Juliana Kenny, TMCnet Web Editor

The ITEXPO (News - Alert) West 2010 was a valuable and exciting event for all who attended. We got to meet with a ton of leading IT industry players who had some great new innovations to demonstrate and business developments to discuss. Amongst those thought leaders attending, ALOE Systems, the former MERA Systems (News - Alert), set up a booth to display its carrier-grade softswitch services and products.

ALOE Systems is an international developer of class 4/5 softswitches that enable VoIP carriers and service providers to efficiently handle considerable amounts of IP telephony transit traffic across their networks. I met with Vitaly Potapov, senior sales manager at ALOE Systems, at ITEXPO in Los Angeles, and he divulged some of the developments that ALOE has undergone in the past year.

Aside from the company’s name change and branding redo, ALOE has made enhancements to its softswitch products making them “better, more stable, and more feature-rich,” according to Potapov. I asked about what kind of customers ALOE targets with its products, and Potapov mentioned that, especially at ITEXPO, they see a lot of customers in the VoIP wholesale industry who “have challenges with their interconnection between the carriers,” in the video interview we conducted.

ALOE’s presence at ITEXPO conveyed that the company is still the same leading global provider of softswitch solutions despite the name change. See more of what ALOE had to say by checking out the video:
