ALOE Systems Exhibits New VoIP Softswitches at GITEX Technology Week

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

ALOE Systems, a developer of class 4/5 softswitches, presented a family of class 4 and 5 best-in-class VoIP softswitches at the GITEX Technology Week.

The new VoIP switch family includes MVTS II, MVTS Pro and Retail and Transit Unit or “RTU” that offer a smart combination of efficiency and rich functionality:

MVTS Pro is a carrier-class solution for VoIP traffic management with multi-protocol support and SBC. MVTS II is a wholesale softswitch with integrated billing, LCR and multi-level partitioning.

RTU is a comprehensive IP-based platform for telecom carriers and Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Service Providers or “ITSPs” with residential and business services for effective traffic management and worry-free Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) or SIP trunking, according to company officials.

ALOE Systems is the new identity of MERA Systems. The company announced the re-branding in August.

Softswitches from ALOE Systems enable VoIP carriers and service providers to efficiently handle considerable amounts of IP telephony transit traffic across their networks.

“ALOE Systems is on the verge of expanding its presence in the Middle East. We are highly interested in developing connections with operators and other vendors in this region,” said Konstantin Nikashov, CEO, ALOE Systems, in a statement.

Participation in events like GITEX gives them an opportunity to meet potential partners and customers, thereby achieving penetration, Nikashov added.

The participation in GITEX Technology Week also allowed the company to forge long-lasting relationship with large-scale carriers from the Middle East and to provide them with efficient switching solutions, according to Nikashov.

Nikashov further said, “GITEX Technology Week is one of the world’s leading technology events, a significant tool in supporting and facilitating the tremendous growth in the region’s ICT industry and a distinct area for IT solutions.”

In September ALOE Systems announced the participation at the 6th Asian Carriers’ Conference held at Mactan Island, Cebu, Philippines, TMCnet reported.

The company also actively participated in the recently held ITEXPO (News - Alert) West 2010. The company was the Gold Sponsor of the trade show and the Network Reception sponsor, according to TMCnet.

At the ITEXPO the company showcased the latest releases of VoIP softswitching solutions.
