Telaris Selects ALOE Systems' MVTS II

By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor

Telaris Communications, a facilities-based International wholesale voice transit service provider, has selected and deployed a significant license of ALOE Systems’ MVTS II, a comprehensive switching and billing VoIP solution, and created fully-featured hosted platform within the main platform.

Telaris Communications provides call termination services to telecommunication carriers and voice service providers globally.

Deployment of MVTS II from ALOE Systems (formerly MERA Systems (News - Alert)) was the result of the careful market search for a comprehensive and smart VoIP softswitch.

Officials with ALOE Systems claimed that MVTS II fully met the carrier’s demand for a reliable and cost effective solution with impressive call processing capabilities, integrated routing and billing and multiple protocols support.

“MVTS II is a very robust softswitch able to handle a large amount of transactions, which is of huge importance for any carrier, especially in the U.S. Market,” said Christopher Bradish, chief executive of Telaris Communications, in a statement.

“We’re very impressed with the CPS load that our MVTS II can handle. It can sustain several hundred CPS in its current configuration while utilizing routing tables consisting of tens of millions of records,” said Bradish.

He said that the real time transcoding is also significant since it helps the company to ensure the highest level of flexibility.

“MVTS II fully responds to our network’s demands and we will continue to increase its port capacity and add elements as our business grows,” said Bradish.

Company officials said that the ability of MVTS II to create partitions has made it an ideal platform for exploring various business models allowing the creation of independent hosted softswitches within the main platform.

“We’re proud to have Telaris among our customers and assist them in building reliable telecom network and delivering superior quality of service,” said Konstantin Nikashov, CEO of ALOE Systems.

Nikashov said that acting as the core element of the carrier’s global VoIP network, MVTS II brings flexibility and allows operators to smoothly run their business thus catering for the large-scale carriers’ growing ambitions and allowing them to build various own business models based upon our softswitch.

He said that partitioning capabilities of MVTS II allow Telaris to drive in new revenue streams by attracting start-up operators looking for cost-effective entry into the wholesale market.

Nikashov said that the most feature-rich softswitch in the ALOE Systems’ product line, MVTS II emphasizes the company’s technological growth and business related shift toward bigger market segments.

ALOE Systems is a new identity of MERA Systems, an international developer of class 4/5 softswitches that enable VoIP carriers and service providers to efficiently handle considerable amounts of IP telephony transit traffic across their networks.
