Veraz Networks, provider of multimedia generation network (MGN) application, control, and bandwidth optimization products, has announced a partnership program for system integrators in Russia and its former CIS countries.

 

The System Integrator Partnership Program was launched on January 28 by Veraz Russia. The company has already received good response to this initiative with more than 60 Russian systems integrators who are providing next generation network (NGN), IP Multimedia Subsystem (News - Alert) (IMS) and bandwidth optimization solutions, participating at an event organized by Veraz Russia.

 

Veraz Networks, which has been working in strategic association with ECI Telecom (News - Alert), is keen to increase its presence through new business partnerships with leading Russian integrators, according to the company.

 

“Russia and CIS countries are strategic markets for Veraz,” said Gregory Litinsky, vice president of Russia and CIS of Veraz Networks (News - Alert), in a statement. “Partnering with local systems integrators backed by Veraz’s market-leading products and support will enable carriers in Russia to increase revenue and optimize network efficiency.”

 

This development is significant for Veraz Networks because Russia is the largest telecom market in Europe with over 43 million landlines and 170 million wireless subscribers.

 

Besides, Veraz Russia, which has a strong installed base of customers including Equant, Vimpelcom, MTT, Rostelecom and Golden Telecom (News - Alert) in Russia, could further improve its association with the industry.

 

The presence of Veraz is important for service providers during the current business slowdown. Veraz NGN and bandwidth optimization solutions allow operators to generate new revenue and cut operational and ownership costs, especially important during a challenging time of global financial crisis.
