Communications manager of the Transylvania County 9-1-1 Center, Kevin Shook has commented that they were looking for a next-generation 9-1-1, geo-diverse system for use in their primary call center, a backup center and for use as a satellite backup for their mobile command vehicle. When they saw what the Sentinel Patriot (News - Alert) solution can do for their centers, they decided to switch suppliers and go with PlantCML.

According to officials, Sentinel Patriot call processing solution is now available in five Transylvania County 9-1-1 Centers and in one remote station as a backup to serve as the primary public safety answering point for handling emergency and administrative calls. In addition the county has installed Sentinel CommandPOST call processing solution on four workstations in their mobile command vehicle.
Vice president of Public Safety Call Center Applications at PlantCML (News - Alert), Carlos Avila has stated that the Transylvania County has been better served by just installing their Sentinel Patriot solution and their REVERSE 911 emergency notification system.
