Agero is a company that is having a pretty decent run of success over the last few years. Now the firm has announced it is going to be adding a wave of new hires at its Tucson, AZ, call center by the end of the summer. In total, the company wants to add as many as 200 new employees to that particular center in order to help with its around-the-clock help to drivers that are looking for roadside assistance. Agero call center employees at the Tucson office will also work to deal with any accidents the company’s customers might get into.
The jobs Agero is looking to add will include consumer affairs for a major automobile manufacturer. There are also going to be various leadership positions made available, but it stands to reason Agero will be looking to hire from its already active employees in order to get leadership positions.
Agero says that entry-level jobs are going to pay at a base of a little more than $10 an hour and bonuses will be made available as well. The pay will be increased depending on responsibilities and experience. Pamela Genske, Agero human resources director, talked about the hiring round to the Arizona Daily Star saying, “We’re competitive with our competition in the Tucson area on pay.” Genske added that benefits include health, dental, 401(k), tuition and employee assistance.
Agero says it has a good track record when it does end up hiring new employees. Last October the company celebrated its first year in the state of Tennessee. The firm says that about 70 percent of the people it hires tend to stay with the company over the long term. That 70 percent of employees have been with the company between two and 18 years. Agero pointed out that is a remarkable retention rate when talking about call centers, which tend to see employee turnover at higher rates than other businesses.
