For those who are technologically inclined, there are new call center jobs available in Chico, California. Laura Urseny, a staff writer for the Chico Enterprise-Record, reports that Milestone Technologies will be hiring 230 new employees. These employees will complement their tech office that they opened in Chico in July of 2012, when they were in search of employees who were more loyal than the ones that they had found in the Bay Area.
This new contact center, which is slated to open on October 21st, will be dedicated to answering questions that their clients have about technology products. At this time, Milestone is only hiring for two types of positions: contact center supervisors and contact center customer service agents. According to Oroville MR, there is no need to apply if candidates are not technologically inclined; “Applicants ‘must be familiar with the use of products such as Google (News - Alert) Chrome OS, Google Play, Google Docs, and more.’” Prem Chand, the CEO and founder of Milestone Technologies, told the Chico Enterprise-Record, “If a user has a product and has a question, we’ll support it; we’re really looking for customer service people.”
Chand went on to tell the Enterprise-Record that he had initially been concerned about whether or not the company would be able to find enough suitable applicants in the Chico area, but representatives from Alliance for Workforce Development, Chico State, and Butte College assured him that he would be able to find the talent he is looking for, and in the numbers that he is looking for.
On Sept. 28, qualifying applicants will be able to attend the Milestone job fair from 10 a.m. through 8 p.m. at Bell Memorial Union at Chico State University. Before attending the job fair, interested applicants are asked to register online and select an interview time.
