VPI, a dealer in mission-critical interaction recording and workforce optimization solutions, has stated that it has integrated its VPI CAPTURE recording technology with Avtec’s Scout VoIP console system for streamlined, software-only recording.

VPI has claimed that the VPI CAPTURE telephone recording software solution is easily implemented and highly effective in virtually any environment. It is the most reliable, robust telephone recording solution. VPI’s robust telephone recording solutions can be cost-effectively customized, scaled and adapted to meet the evolving demands of organizations of all kinds – from small- and medium-sized contact centers to global enterprises employing any combination of in-house and remote employees.

According to Avtec, Scout is a PC-base, VoIP console that eliminates the need for a central switch by leveraging the existing network infrastructure in distributed console architecture. It is a scalable and interoperable VoIP console designed for ease of customization and system integration.

VPI’s technology integrated into the Scout will enable the capture IP traffic directly from the console system which results in the capture of the entire voice transmission – the recording starts at the beginning of the voice transmission and is automatically terminated when the transmission ends. The integration will also help to preserve hardware resources, expedite implementation and capture all audio files in a standard, Microsoft (News - Alert)-native .wav format for simplified file management.

Mike Mercadante, chief technology officer at VPI has commented that the integrated solution provides significant advantages over other offerings currently available. There is virtually no impact on network resources due to their direct connection to the Scout console system. VPI CAPTURE achieves superior audio quality and simplifies network design without the need to identify tap points required by other solutions.

Michael Branning, Avtec's president added that their successful collaboration with VPI allows organizations using their Scout Console system to more effectively capture, evaluate, and analyze radio and telephony recordings to improve interactions. The combined solution delivers affordable, reliable, next generation technology designed to meet the needs of dispatch centers of all sizes.
