Welcome to the week in review for the customer relationship management, or “CRM,” industry. Below are some of the top stories that came across the TMCnet news wires this week.
On Monday, NICE Systems (News - Alert), a provider of advanced solutions for companies to capture, storage, retrieval and analysis of customer interactions for contact centers and enterprises, won the 2009 Asia Pacific Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert) Growth Strategy Leadership Award in the call monitoring systems market, as a result of the company’s success of the NICE SmartCenter, a suite of business applications for contact center and enterprise customers, in the Asia Pacific region.
On Tuesday, SIP-based VoIP call recording provider, SIP Print (News - Alert) announced a new distribution partnership with Interlink Communications Systems, or “ICS,” an internetworking focused specialty distribution company, the company’s SIP and VoIP-based call recording systems will now be offered to ICS’ reseller community.
Also on Tuesday, Call center software provider,
Five9 Inc. announced that it partnered with Bluewolf, a leader in agile consulting, in efforts to enable customers to realize improved marketing, sales and customer care processes based on its call center systems in the cloud.
Five9’s Chief Technology Officer Jim Dvorkin said that Five9 is delighted to be Bluewolf’s preferred partner for on-demand call center software solutions.
“Bluewolf has a proven track record of delivering on-demand CRM implementations based on Salesforce.com (News - Alert),” Dvorkin said. “We expect this partnership to provide significant benefits to our joint customers looking for integrated on-demand CRM/Call Center solutions which we are showcasing together at Dreamforce 2009.”
And, on Thursday, customer relationship management, or “CRM,” software provider, Salesforce.com unveiled the company’s new “Salesforce Chatter,” a new secure enterprise and collaboration application and social development platform, the company delivered on its promise.
With social media sites like Facebook (News - Alert) and Twitter becoming such a toehold in the telecom and networking industry, Salesforce’s new application will leverage the social networking models made popular by the consumer Web, but take a twist and cater this application to the workplace.
