M2SYS Technology develops biometric identity management software and hardware for several applications, including workforce optimization, transportation security and banking and membership management.
U.S. Vision, a wholly owned subsidiary of Refac Optical Group, an international Optometric dispensary chain, recently selected M2SYS Technology RightPunch PC-based biometric time clock attendance system for optimizing its workforce at more than 700 locations.
RightPunch PC-based biometric time clock solution perfectly complements the Kronos (News - Alert) timekeeping software that is used by U.S. Vision, says Michael Trader, president of M2SYS. RightPunch easily integrates with Kronos timekeeping software and allows employees to clock in and out through biometric authentication, which helps the company optimize labor tracking performance, according to company officials.
The biometric software is installed on servers at each of U.S. Vision’s locations. Each server is connected to the M2SYS Central Data Management System, which synchronizes data, such as biometric templates and employee schedules, between site locations. When employees scan their finger on the device, the timestamp is recorded and automatically reconciled with Kronos Workforce Timekeeper timekeeping software.
“RightPunch drastically reduces payroll error rates, expedites the clock in/out process and is a more affordable alternative to wall mounted biometric time clocks,” Trader added. “In addition, the solution produces a concrete audit trail of time and attendance system data that can be reviewed to quickly settle disputes and ensure compliance with labor laws.”
Based on M2SYS Hybrid Biometric Platform, RightPunch supports fingerprint, finger vein, palm vein and iris biometrics. It also supports offline punch storage and schedule enforcement, as well as alternate punch submission mechanisms like PIN entry.
RightPunch helps U.S. Vision strengthen its labor tracking strategies and boost employee productivity. It also increases accountability to achieve overall performance, according to Carmen Nepa, U.S. Vision’s CFO.
“We are confident that this improves our Kronos workforce management timekeeping software attendance system and is an important piece of the puzzle in our continued efforts to reduce payroll inflation for lower labor costs and to achieve maximum return on investment,” Nepa added.
