Accenture (News - Alert), a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, has announced completion of the acquisition of Neo Metrics Analytics S.L. Neo Metrics Analytics is a consulting firm specializing in optimization and predictive analytics based in Madrid, Spain.

Thanks to the acquisition, Accenture will now be able to add innovative analytics assets to its existing portfolio, including an advanced modeler solution, which creates industrialized, highly-accurate analytical models and can help clients to rapidly predict customer behavior.

Officials with Accenture said that the acquisition will not only fortify the company’s customer-focused analytics assets, but will also augment the company’s analytical models and techniques for fraud management, quality management, pricing optimization and demand forecasting.

“Clients are looking for actionable customer insights that are critical to their organization’s ability to launch more profitable marketing campaigns, reduce customer turnover and create more personalized interactions,” said Narendra Mulani, managing director of Analytics and Marketing Services at Accenture, in a statement.

Mulani said that with Neo Metrics’ capabilities, the company can offer analytic intelligence across all of the clients’ business processes and help clients fundamentally change the way they interact with customers.

Recently, Accenture and Microsoft (News - Alert) Corp. signed an agreement that enables Accenture to provide clients with an end-to-end public cloud solution on the Windows Azure platform, marking the first time clients can contract for design, delivery and ongoing management services of applications hosted in the cloud on Windows Azure from a single global technology services provider.

The agreement extends to Avanade, a provider of business technology solutions and managed services, and enables both Accenture and Avanade to sell, host and deliver Windows Azure services to clients. Avanade is a majority-owned subsidiary of Accenture.

Under the agreement, Accenture will expand its infrastructure outsourcing options to include Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) services (and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) as it becomes available) from Windows Azure. Accenture and Avanade clients are now able to sign a single contract for the delivery and running of cloud services on Windows Azure to receive one-stop provisioning and monitoring through Accenture.
