CRM Week in Review: SaaS Vendors and Software Developments

Gartner’s CRM software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) vendor market guide has just listed smartFOCUS, a global provider of multi-channel marketing software, the company announced early this week, according to TMC’s (News - Alert) Linda Dobel.


A comprehensive list of vendors that offer CRM software as a deployment option is presented in the Gartner CRM SaaS vendor market guide. The report, titled ‘Gartner (News - Alert) CRM Vendor Market Guide for Software as a Service, 2011,’ by Robert P. Desisto, Michael Maoz and Kimberly Collins, was published on March 30, 2011 and is available to Gartner subscribers.

The report notes that, “The number of CRM vendors that provide software as a service continues to grow.” It further states that “Subsegments [of CRM software vendors], such as sales force automation, have many vendor alternatives, while other segments, such as campaign management, have few.”

In the broader call center realm of CRM, TMC’s Chris DiMarco covered BenchmarkPortal’s (News - Alert) recent news concerning its upcoming CallTalk show. Broadcasted on a monthly basis directly over the Internet, CallTalk covers informative and educational topics impacting the call center today. This show titled, Go with the Flow: Tips for Optimal IVR Call Flow Design will air April 13 at 1:00 p.m. PT. It will feature Benchnmark’s CEO Bruce Belfiore who will be joined by Service Agility’s President Jay Minucci to discuss the basics of IVRs and offer tips for getting the best out of its deployment in a call center.

In more software-related news, Stonefield Software has announced its database reporting software tool, Stonefield Query 4.1. for Goldmine CRM, according to TMC’s Anuradha Shukla. Stonefield Software has included more than 30 new enhancements in this new version including the Dashboard Wizard that monitors business trends in real time.

The company notes that businesses using Frontrange Solutions Goldmine CRM are benefiting from its power but they may not get the most out of the solution.

Stonefield Query 4.1 for GoldMine CRM includes a range of features including more than 70 free reports, cross-tab reports now support displaying the amount and/or percentage change between columns.
