Call Center Solutions Provider VoltDelta Wins 2010 Speech Industry Award
By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor
VoltDelta OnDemand, a provider of call center and automated speech recognition solutions, has announced that it has received Speech Technology Magazine’s 2010 Speech Industry Award in the Star Performer category.
More specifically, the award was given on the basis of VoltDelta’s (News - Alert) CrystalWAVE speech recognition solution that was implemented for pay-by-phone and digital parking specialist Parkmobile. As per Speech Technology Magazine, Star Performer awardees are awarded as such for having crafted innovative solutions that have served to advance the industry.
The pay-by-phone parking system offered by Parkmobile is an industry first in North America. It does away with the coin-operated meter and instead incorporates VoltDelta’s voice-response system. Users simply need to register for service through a mobile app, website or automated call, and then dial in and indicate the parking zone.
Transactions are fast and simple since the system will recognize callers right away and act accordingly. Services that come with this system include cashless off- and on-street parking, digital permits and electronic enforcement. In addition, drivers can also elect to be alerted 15 minutes before their parking time expires. Parkmobile is currently engaged in a comprehensive system rollout across North America. Locations where the service may be availed of include Honolulu, Hawaii; Sausalito, California, Atlanta, Georgia; Washington, D.C.; and Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Albert Bogaard, CEO of Parkmobile USA, said that VoltDelta has given Parkmobile a revolutionary solution that is both remarkably convenient for motorists and operationally efficient for local governments. VoltDelta offers key benefits such as multichannel resources, voice recognition expertise, and the ability to securely manage transactions.
Terry Saeger, SVP and GM of VoltDelta OnDemand, said that this industry award serves to highlight innovation in action. VoltDelta, Saeger said, is able to quickly deploy this solution without local governments needing to make capital investments. Parkmobile is thus able to benefit both motorists, who can now find parking a breeze, as well as local governments through its automation of revenue collection.
