Convergys Forms Alliance with Sonda to Drive Latin American Market Share

Convergys Corporation, a company focused on relationship management solutions, has announced a new, non-exclusive alliance with Sonda, an IT services provider in Latin America. With this new agreement, Sonda will offer Convergys’ (News - Alert) full suite of technology-based Self-Service and Assisted Service Solutions in the Mexican marketplace.
With more than 8,000 IT professionals in Latin America, Sonda works with a diversified client base that includes leading companies in the banking, telecommunications and insurance industries to drive down costs while also improving customer loyalty.

As a result of this alliance, Sonda will offer its clients in Mexico the following Convergys solutions:
The Convergys Intelligent Self-Service Solution, an integration of Convergys Intervoice (News - Alert) Voice Portal (IVP) and Convergys’ Dynamic Decisioning Solution. With this integration, the two offerings take advantage of the power of speech and Web-based standards and enterprise-wide policy management to enable contact centers to provide a more personalized and relevant experience for their customers. Both solutions also help to reduce costs and increase revenue opportunities.
The Convergys On-Demand Voice Authentication solution is a platform-dependent option that authenticates agent-assisted and self-service IVR, Web and mobile device transactions more securely than traditional ID plus PIN authentication.
The Convergys flexible Hosted Self-Service Solutions designed to optimize the customer experience while also reducing operations cost.
The Convergys Intelligent Contact Routing Solution that integrates the Intervoice IP Contact Center and Convergys Dynamic Decisioning Solution to create a next-generation system for seamlessly and intelligently routing customer contacts by phone, e-mail, fax or the Web.

In other Convergys news, the company announced last month that Jeff Fox, was been named president and CEO. He would serve in this position for at least one year and will also remain on the Convergys Board.
Convergys is also partnering with Microsoft (News - Alert) to create the Convergys Smart Communications Suite powered by Microsoft. Currently under development, the solution will reportedly be the first pre-integrated and pre-configured billing and customer care platform. A release date for the new product has not yet been set.
