Carrefour Incorporates Location Intelligence with Galigeo's Geodashboard

Carrefour Group has deployed an enterprise-wide marketing offering, Geodashboard from Galigeo, a division of Esri. Designed to enhance decision making, Esri’s ArcGIS has been integrated in Geodashboard, helping improve an organization’s current enterprise business intelligence (BI) software.


The product helps worldwide employees of Carrefour via varied operational workflows like retail site selection and competition analysis. Apart from optimizing direct promotional activities, the solution boosts store performance via a clearer view of sales territories and customer requirements.

In a statement, Francis Riviere, geomarketing manager at Carrefour Group said, "Carrefour Group selected Galigeo because of its ease of implementation and its ability to meet technical requirements of Carrefour's data centers."

The Esri ArcGIS platform is utilized by Galigeo's Geodashboard for observing and studying spatial data. Conventional retail analysis like trade areas, mailing areas, competition, customer locations and targeted advertising are well supported by the software. The solution also supports geographic information like Bing Maps, Nokia (News - Alert) data, and aerial and satellite images, along with other data that can be geocoded in real-time.

Galigeo's geomarketing application characterizes and displays data on interactive maps. Previously unseen trends that hadn’t been apparent in the conventional tables, charts, or other dashboard widgets, widely utilized in business intelligence solutions, are now more easily identified by this application.

According to Christian Tapia, CEO of Galigeo, the company is proud to assist Carrefour with this groundbreaking location-intelligence solution, which aims to guide Carrefour in addressing its key issues and help the company achieve its development plans.
