Manufacturing Renaissance and New Product Introductions Mark Day One of IQMS Pinnacle User Conference

The strong manufacturing climate in North America and new IQMS offerings to support customers' growth were the leading topics of the opening keynote presentation by IQMS CMO Steve Bieszczat on Day One of the Pinnacle User Conference. The event for customers of IQMS, a leading manufacturing ERP software and manufacturing execution system (MES) authority, is being held, April 3-6, 2017, at the Lowes Sapphire Falls Resort in Orlando, Florida. It brings together manufacturing executives, enterprise resource planning (ERP) technical experts, and industry thought leaders in 66 sessions examining manufacturing technology and business best practices, as well as how to get the most out of IQMS software.

North America Sees Resurgence in Manufacturing

United States metrics and anecdotal reports from customers all point to a robust manufacturing environment, Bieszczat observed in his opening presentation. At 57.7 percent in February 2017, the US Institute for Supply Management's Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) is at its highest point since August 2014, driven by a rise in new orders and production. Meanwhile, manufacturers report a growing demand for quality near-shore and onshore operations, particularly from satisfied customers who are either expanding their own use or providing referrals to other prospects. To capitalize on these opportunities, more manufacturers now are adopting Industry 4.0, the Internet of Things (IoT), and big data concepts to increase their insight, agility and productivity.

IQMS Product and Service Offerings Support Customer Growth

Bieszczat ten reviewed several product and service developments aimed at fostering manufacturing customers' growth. Among them were two new cloud offerings launched today: IQMS Cloud IQ is one version of the IQMS ERP system that runs on the Oracle (News - Alert) Cloud Platform. Like IQMS Enterprise IQ software, it uniquely combines robust ERP and MES functionality into one comprehensive cloud solution. IQMS Web BI features rich, cloud-based business intelligence and visualization functionality to help manufacturers gain greater insights into their ERP and Financials data. Bieszczat also highlighted new enhancements in the IQMS Enterprise IQ 15.3 manufacturing ERP system, as well as IQMS WebIQ, the interface for Enterprise IQ designed to run on any device that has a standard browser and Internet connection. Additionally, he noted the recent rollout of IQMS Enterprise Support, the new, premier support offering for manufacturing customers of all sizes that want to maximize the value of their IQMS system. Finally, he discussed the 30-person office in Pleasanton, California, which opened in March 2017 to provide an agile environment for developing MES and shop floor automation solutions that take advantage of IoT and other enabling technologies for manufacturing.

"At IQMS, we are taking a 360o approach to giving customers the manufacturing-centric software and supporting services that empower them to compete more effectively in the global market," Bieszczat said. "We continue to deliver on that commitment with our new cloud offerings, latest versions of IQMS Enterprise IQ and WebIQ, and new IQMS Enterprise Support. And, through our new development office in Pleasanton, we are laying the foundation for introducing next-generation solutions that empower manufacturers to innovate and automate their businesses to take quality and productivity to new levels."
