Optus Launches Webex Contact Center in Australia
Telecommunications company Optus (News - Alert), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singaporean company Singtel, has announced the launch of a new Webex Contact Center offering for its business customers in Australia. This latest offering will make cloud contact center solutions available to those in the region for the first time.
Partnering with Cisco (News - Alert) provides Optus with the ability to offer a cloud solution that best matches agents with callers and uses predictive analytics to drive better customer experiences.
As the first service provider in the region to offer this technology, it is also uniquely positioned to bring businesses full scope solutions that will meet their unique collaboration needs as they make the move to digital.
“Australian businesses today demand more flexibility, agility, and integration in their contact center and collaboration solutions. With increased remote working practices driving enterprises to accelerate its move from traditional on-premise to cloud-based solutions, Optus is continuously investing in the latest available cloud technologies and capabilities,” said Deon Liebenberg, Optus Business Vice President of Product Innovation.
Optus’ end-to-end Cisco Collaboration Suite also includes Webex Meetings, Webex Teams, and Webex Calling.

Optus also recently announced the appointment of a new trio of Executives who will provide additional support during the current uncertain times that most of the world is grappling with. This includes the appointment of Kate Aitken as Vice President, Human Resources; Libby Roy as Managing Director SMB, and Poppy Fassos as Head of Business Risk Management.
