EmLogis Unveils New Version of Employee Scheduling Software
With today’s communications revolving around multiple channels, including e-mail, phone, chat and social media, organizations are getting ready to accommodate these trends in their IT infrastructure.
Employee scheduling software is one such technology that is quickly transforming to address the needs of modern workforce. Though scheduling software is largely used in call centers, it is gaining popularity in other industries as well.
To address the needs of modern enterprises, EmLogis, a provider of employee scheduling software, has come up with its latest online employee scheduling software code named Elm.
The new workforce scheduling software has the ability to rank employees based on their skills. With this ability to schedule employees in multiple locations, it is possible that employees could end up reporting to multiple supervisors.
“By allowing companies to rate and rank employees, supervisors get more insight into the strength and quality of employees that they may have not worked with before which potentially aids in their ability to manage those same employees,” said Mark Kirkland, vice president of Product Management, in a statement.
Another feature included in this software is the easy-to-use Broadcast Messaging feature that allows supervisors to select employees based on their skills, teams, locations or a variety of other criteria and send those employees e-mails to either corporate or personal e-mail addresses to alert them to important company information.
The purpose of this employee scheduling software is to create as many communication methods in one place as possible so that employers have one, consolidated place to manage all their employee actions, including communications.
With this scheduling system in place, employers should not have to go to several systems or rely on the telephone or bulletin boards to deliver messages.
Another enhancement in Elm is the Schedule Sync that has made the software more convenient and easy to use. Employees are able to connect their work schedules to many other scheduling systems, like Google (News - Alert) Calendar, Outlook, Yahoo! Calendar, iPhones, Adroid Phones or Lotus Notes.
Employees also can allow family members to do the scheduling, giving families the ability to keep a family calendar that is always up to date with the employee’s work schedule.
