Help/Systems Expands Job Scheduler with Oracle E-Business Suite Interface
When a recession puts a strain on budgets, enterprises turned to automation software solutions designed to enhance productivity and workforce efficiency. Workforce scheduling and workforce management (WFM) solutions are some of the technologies that gained popularity over the past couple of years.
As the demand grew, more companies entered the market delivering advanced workforce scheduling and management solutions specifically designed for markets like call centers, healthcare practices, financial services and retail organizations. Specifically, Call center scheduling has been a consistent topic in the industry for the past few weeks, according to Monet, a provider of workforce management solutions.
In one of the significant developments in the industry, Help/Systems, a developer of enterprise automation software Skybot Scheduler, has just released the latest version of the software -- version 3.3 – featuring an Oracle (News - Alert) E-Business Suite interface that allows users to easily build complex schedules for EBS concurrent requests within Skybot Scheduler.
Skybot Scheduler now allows users to schedule jobs on Macintosh servers, in addition to Windows, UNIX and Linux.
Oracle EBS requests also can be included in centralized job scheduling across multiple systems and applications, such as backups or file transfers, without additional scripting.
Skybot Scheduler powered by Oracle EBS is designed to address the challenge of server sprawl that has been compounded by an equally growing diversity of applications, said Janet Dryer, CEO of Help/Systems. “With IT departments at their leanest, job schedulers that can bridge the gap between systems and applications are critical.”
“The Oracle EBS interface in version 3.3 is an important addition to Skybot Scheduler’s growing list of application interfaces, which includes SAP (News - Alert) NetWeaver, Informatica PowerCenter, and MS SQL Server,” Dryer added.
No matter what type of business or industry, taking a few minutes to learn about scheduling software from providers like Monet Software and learning how to improve quality and workflow could be one of the greatest investments ever made.
