San Antonio, Texas Call Center Enhances Operations
By Jamie Epstein, TMCnet Web Editor
Calling Solutions, a San Antonio-based call center, has just revealed plans to nearly double the size of company operations, through the process of making 200 new positions available within the next couple of weeks. The dramatic increase of call center operations comes on the heels of a newly acquired client within the telecommunications industry, Wydale Thomas, the call center company's operations director said in a statement.
In a recent article featured on My San Antonio.com, Thomas commented, “We need to staff up to be able to handle that volume.”
The new addition of qualified employees will raise Calling Solutions' total employee count to around 700 people. The company also runs a separate call center operation in Mexico City.
In a majority of situations, Calling Solutions directs inbound calls for clients to the appropriate places and most of the clients are within the telecommunications industry. “There is no cold calling or anything like that currently going on, so that tends to make it a little easier to attract people who are looking for call center jobs,” Thomas added.
At the current time, this is an increasing trend for companies to either start or expand call center operations within this Texas town and it seems as if Calling Solutions is hoping on this bandwagon as well, the article revealed.
In related news, Chase bank recently added 250 people at its card center and 200 workers at a retail operations center, while Atento, a major call center company, announced plans to add about 1,600 employees to its call center operations shortly.
