Commentary:

Dave Gilbertson, vice president, strategy and operations, UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group)

"By our estimation, as many as 10% of businesses with fewer than 100 employees have gone out of business since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The tremendous uncertainty created by the current surge of the virus has prompted businesses that are open to proceed with extreme caution as they rethink growth and hiring for both today and tomorrow."
