New OnShift Research Explores The Personal And Professional Needs, Wants & Challenges Of Senior Care Frontline StaffOnShift®, a leader in human capital management software for post-acute care and senior living, today announced the results of its inaugural Employee Perspectives Survey. More than 2,800 long-term care, senior living and healthcare employees shared insights into their daily lives, both personally and professionally. Across all cohorts, 49% of respondents reported feeling stressed and burned out as the most significant challenge they currently face, followed by staying healthy (40%) and day-to-day financial struggles/lack of savings (35%). In response to their challenges, 39% of respondents cited being very satisfied or satisfied with the level of care and support provided to them by their employers, while 29% report being very dissatisfied or dissatisfied. Respondents also provided added insight into what would make their job more satisfying, with most focused on better pay, better staffing levels, increased communication, and appreciation from management. "The number one challenge facing senior care providers is building and maintaining a consistent workforce.
