Beeline and IQN Conference Highlights Company Breakthroughs

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., May 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2017 Beeline and IQN Conference (May 1-3, Orlando, Fla.) attracted more attendees and industry sponsors than ever before. More than 300 human resources, procurement and contingent workforce professionals joined leaders from the newly merged Beeline and IQN organization for executive briefings, seminars, a technology expo and presentations by experts on personal and professional development.

Executive Team Details Product Innovations and Enhanced Customer Service

Welcoming conference-goers at the tropical-themed Loew's Sapphire Falls Resort, Beeline president Doug Leeby introduced his executive team and described the harmonious way two former competitors, Beeline and IQNavigator, have merged into a stronger and more capable company by recognizing and adopting each other's strengths.

"We never strove to be the biggest," noted Leeby in his keynote address. "We just wanted to be the best. Now we can do that." Leeby called his team the largest and most experienced lineup of subject matter experts in a highly-specialized industry, and he described how the organization was applying its newly doubled expertise in service to its clients.

Sherri Hammons, chief technology officer, and Colleen Tiner, senior vice president of strategy, provided more detail about effects of the merger on product development, including selective transfer of technology from each VMS to the other, resulting in "quick wins" for both IQN VMS and Beeline VMS customers. They also spoke about the product road map, which will lead to new solutions and services built on the company's "Horizon" platform, incorporating state-of-the-art microservices architecture. Examples of new microservices include self-sourcing with talent pools, Beeline Mobile with Agent, and the new AI-based application: Beeline Assistant.

Chief operating officer Autumn Vaupel emphasized the importance of customer service and outlined the newly enhanced service structure. Introducing Craig Coe, senior vice president of relationship management, and Teresa Moore, vice president of client services, Vaupel noted the company is very fortunate to have a culture that fosters doing things right for customers. Coe commented that each customer relationship is a shared journey; the company's goal is to be a true strategic partner throughout that journey. Moore agreed, saying that clients shouldalways be confident that Beeline is doing everything possible to meet their expectations.

Tech Expo Highlights New Products; Idea Lab Showcases the Future

Over the course of two evenings, attendees saw demonstrations of more than 15 innovative products, features and solutions involving advancements to both Beeline VMS and IQN VMS. These included new developments for both contingent workforce management and services procurement. Beeline technologists demonstrated advancements in integration, mobile approvals, self-sourcing and talent pools, job template enrichments, interview experience and many other innovations. In addition, attendees were introduced to four revolutionary new features and applications from the company's Idea Lab:

  • Beeline Mobile with Agent
  • Market rate development based on machine learning and cognitive analytics
  • New supplier scorecard and guidance functionality, and
  • An AI-driven chatbot, Beeline Assistant—capable of operating with a host of smart devices, including Amazon's Alexa, the iPhone's Siri, Microsoft's Cortana and on instant messaging applications—providing highly personalized client interaction with the company's contingent workforce management software.

Networking with World's Leading Companies and Industry Experts

Conference attendees appreciated informal face-to-face meetings with Beeline employees and executives and opportunities to network with their peers from more than 70 of the world's leading companies. Members of the Beeline Advisory Council chaired regional client meetings, and informal events each day provided opportunities for more informal interactions. Also on hand at the conference were industry experts representing consulting firms, managed service providers, staffing and service organizations, and industry analysts.

Fun Run for Charity and Motivational Speakers Exercise Bodies and Minds

More than 50 conference attendees rose early on Wednesday morning to participate in a 5K run/walk that wound through the resort's tropical landscape. For each participant, Beeline donated to REthreaded, a Jacksonville-based organization that provides safe, viable, and dignity-giving work to survivors of human trafficking.

Attendees were also encouraged to exercise their minds listening to experts speak on the scientific basis of happiness and the history of innovation.

Called "one of the world's leading experts on human potential," author and researcher Shawn Achor enthralled the audience with stories of the research detailed in his book, The Happiness Advantage. As part of his presentation, Achor offered several practical, actionable principles and techniques audience members can use to improve their performance and maximize their potential.

Best-selling author and commentator on science and technology Steven Berlin Johnson described how innovation results from a networked process in which "slow hunches" are cultivated by exposure to seemingly unrelated ideas from other disciplines. At the Conference, he touched on themes developed for his six-part television series on the history of innovation, How We Got to Now.

The Beeline and IQN Conference: More Than an Event—an Experience.

As in past years, the conference was more than just an industry event. It was an engaging experience designed to influence its attendees personally and professionally. An inspiring acrobatic performance by America's Got Talent finalists, The Chicago Boyz, demonstrated the value of teamwork, trust, and partnership. As Doug Leeby stated in his closing remarks, "Our conference is for clients and partners to learn about what we are doing, to network and learn from each other, and to grow personally by listening to our outside speakers; I believe we achieved all that and more!"
