Need Some Sun and a Job? Call Center in Sarasota is Now Hiring!

By Jamie Epstein, TMCnet Web Editor

Are you hating this cold weather and just want to be warm? Consider heading down to Sarasota, Fla., where a company is now hiring qualified individuals for its call center.

Based in Pennsylvania, Protocol Global Solutions is heading South in search of 400 employees that will work in its call center, make calls and process information in relation to a class-action lawsuit.

Pay approximately $8 to $10 an hour, the majority of new hires will be full-time workers who will also gain access to an employment benefit package which includes health care, vision, dental, life insurance and a 401(k) retirement fund, after a 90-day probation period.

Kassie Heinrichs, a Protocol Global recruiter, recently revealed that the jobs are not temporary positions to the Herald Tribune. Those looking to be hired must also be flexible with work hours, as the call center is always open.

Kicking off the call center hiring process about two weeks ago, the company is looking for prospective employees who boast typing skills, are familiar with computers, can read and communicate efficiently on a telephone.

"We have hundreds of open positions," Heinrichs commented.

What makes this call center stand out from the rest is that it has been created to allow workers with physical handicaps to work comfortably. The environment is ideal for workers who need to get up and stretch while working, as well as those who are wheelchair-bound, the article revealed."Wheelchairs, bad backs, we have it all," Heinrichs added.

It seems as if “The Sunshine State” is the go to destination these days for newly opened call centers. TMCnet recently reported that TruGreen, a well-known lawn care professional, is hoping to expand its roots in Tampa, FL. through a new initiative that involves hiring up to 175 workers in its new national call center located within the Netpark office complex.

The company has recently begun the hiring process in its call center mainly searching for seasonal sales associates, but also looking to fill management jobs. First beginning to expand the center earlier this month, TruGreen hopes to pause at about 225 employees after the hiring is done.
