Affiliated Computer Services (News - Alert), providing business process and IT outsourcing across a variety of industries and the public sector, has announced that it is looking to increase its call center workforce in Houston and San Antonio to service its local clients.
Part of Xerox, the Dallas-based company expects to fill 100 permanent and temporary positions in Houston for call center agents and supervisors, and about 160 more positions in San Antonio as part of a nationwide hiring plan to add 3,000 jobs, according to a Houston Business Journal report.
In Houston, the call center operations will provide technical support and customer service for an insurance firm and national retailer. Affiliated currently has about 1,000 employees in Houston.
In San Antonio, the new positions will provide technical support and customer service for a national retailer.
Applicants can apply online or go to one of ACS' (News - Alert) recruiting offices at 9800 Centre Parkway at Bissonnet Street in Southwest Houston, or 3100 Hayes Rd. near Richmond Avenue in West Houston. In San Antonio, ACS' office is at 2922 General Hudnell Dr.
