In a move that will make it the second-largest employer in Williamson County, Verizon (News - Alert) Wireless has begun filling the remaining 300 of 1,300 total jobs they began to hire for as part of a corporate relocation three years ago.

The positions, which will be in the company’s $54 million, 191,142-square-foot facility in Cool Springs, will be in customer service and will handle a number of caller questions about billing and service.

“We have seats in that facility,” said Karen Schulz, Verizon spokesperson. “We have plenty of room to house them all.”

Hiring will be completed over the next 18 months.

Verizon first announced plans to move its Nashville area operation from the Grassmere Business Park to Cool Springs in 2007.
