Convergys Expands its Seasonal Home Agent Program

By Chris DiMarco, TMCnet Managing Editor

For many the holidays signal the tightest time of the year, when spending peaks to spread a little cheer amongst family and friends.  This year Convergys (News - Alert) has launched a campaign that will allow many to make a few extra bucks during the holiday season while working from the comfort of their home. In a press release earlier this week the company announced plans to expand its search for Home Agents for the seasonal influx and will likely retain many for permanent work.

New employees will serve as gift advisors for Harry & Davis a boutique style direct marketing and e-commerce Company. These candidates will work from home through Mid-December.

“Convergys has an immediate need for home agents from around the country. We're looking for sales-oriented individuals to provide customer service support from their homes and help Harry & David customers select the perfect gift for those on their holiday shopping list,” senior manager of recruiting for Convergys' Home Agent program, Anne Tyler said.

Prior to starting their work selected home agents will be given five days of training. In addition of competitive wages, the home agents will be offered discounts on gift merchandise. The candidates have the options of choosing between day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Requirements for work-at-home candidates include a quiet place to work inside the home and a high-speed Internet connection. The ideal employment candidate should possess customer service and/or sales experience, computer and keyboarding skills, and the ability to work flexible hours.Interested candidates are encouraged to apply immediately online at http://careers.convergysworkathome.com.
