Furniture for Call Center Training Rooms

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

Training is an important element in the call center. Training that gets agents performing their best and offering exceptional customer service is key. To do so, call centers are tasked the need to frequently train their agents on areas needing improvement or to provide information like new product updates that keep them in the loop.

Dedicated training rooms in the call center provide a place away from the desktop and bring agents into a classroom environment to train on these subjects.

Many times in the call center, space for these rooms is limited, so setting up a room that maximizes utilization of the space  while guaranteeing sufficient training of agents, is  necessary.

Having a training room in the call center that incorporates a functional furniture design, not only improves the learning environment physically, but also helps drive improved performance results.

One design option is a traditional classroom design. The use of flat screen monitors in this environment helps the instructor to be able to see the agents better and foster better communication. Another option in the classroom design is a down under monitor option that will keep the monitor under the work surface, keeping the desk clear and allowing for a large work area. There is also a drop down option that allows the monitors to be placed lower than the work surface height. This also improves the eye contact between the agent and the instructor.

Another design option is a perimeter design option. This option places traditional computer workstations around the edge of the training area, and tables in the middle of the room.

A third option is to furnish the entire room with tables. This option allows the room to be frequently reconfigured as needed.

Believe it or not, the way a call center training room is setup and designed can maximize the efficiency of that room by making room for a larger number of agents to fit comfortably into the space.

Call Center Furniture provider, Interior Concepts answers  this need by offering call center furniture  solutions specifically tailored to the needs of the call center training room.

Offering features like stations with  wire management,  that keep all cords and cables tucked safely away, all the way to mobile equipment that can be rolled away or "flipped" when not needed. Setting up call center furniture in this way helps optimize space flexibility and utilization—allowing the training rooms to become the "perfect learning environment."
