New Mobile Call Center Furniture Station

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

In the call center, the introduction of wireless capabilities and other new technological advancements has made it easier for managers to get up, walk around and better monitor their call center floor. Because call center managers are needed throughout various parts of the call center, mobility becomes essential.

Utilizing these technologies has freed them of the need to be tethered in front of their workstations—unless an electrical power outlet is needed.

While laptops, headsets and other wireless devices make it easier to be mobile, their benefit is eliminated when one must place their self solely in front of a power outlet.

Now, thanks to a new mobile battery-powered workstation introduced by Interior Concepts, the Traveler Mobile Desk, true mobility can be achieved and managers are given the ability to take their workstations with them wherever they are needed. This is the first piece of the Traveler furniture line that eliminates the need for wires, cords or cables. Instead, a built-in battery with enough power to run a laptop for an entire workweek is included. The station also comes with an optional plug-in power if desired.

Interior Concepts next furniture addition will be a mobile battery-powered presentation unit. The podium-type unit will have the ability to run a projector and other equipment, Interior Concepts told TMCnet.

In keeping with their commitment to environmental preservation, Interior Concepts also noted that the Traveler Mobile Desk is made of non-hazardous materials and is UL-approved.
