Call Center Furniture Provider Introduces New Innovations at NSSEA School Equipment Show

By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor

One of the key points of focus within the customer service arena is the comfort of the agent while on the phone, e-mail or live chat interacting with customers. To that end, companies spend considerable time investigating their options in call center furniture, trying to make the selections that best support their environment and their agents. Fortunately, the NSSEA School Equipment Show is the perfect place to get a first-hand view.

Don’t be thrown by the fact that this is a school equipment show and not one labeled for call center furniture. Companies like Interior Concepts develop solutions that meet the needs of both industries as the use of the furniture in both is so closely related. Plus, the call center environment is always one focused on learning as agents must be trained according to methods, product knowledge, customer service and more.

The NSSEA School Equipment Show is an annual event to welcome distributors and manufacturers to meet with professionals who then evaluate, influence and specific the most innovative products to meet the needs of today’s environments.

According to this Interior Concepts blog, the show creates a marketplace for state-of-the-art learning environments, providing a showcase opportunity for products built for the educational market. It is also the perfect location to gain preview to the latest industry trends. This year, the show was held in Tampa, Florida November 7-9th. The blog provides a recap of the call center furniture company’s display.

Interior Concepts took advantage of the opportunity to demonstrate new innovations by putting its Genius (News - Alert) Meeting Table on display. A stool-height collaborative work area allows small groups to use a whiteboard. Customers can select the flare, bullet top or design their own creation. The station is also incorporated with new DropShare technology.

As collaboration is the name of the game in the call center and education environments, DropShare allows up to six users to share media through a plug in and single screen. Users can connect laptops, iPads and other media sharing devices, a perfect addition to call center furniture designed to enable an environment of learning.

The student table was the company’s most popular item at the event as it puts a focus on collaboration. The table promotes teamwork and comfortably sites 3-6 students. The new Axil Z is integrated into the table. The flat mount power/data center features a newly engineered and patented water-proof outlet.

The call center furniture manufacturer also announced its new mobile storage accessories. This new storage line includes lateral file units and a mobile wardrobe, featuring two file drawers with a height of 43.25” to work well in open-office layouts.

If you missed the show, you missed the opportunity to see a number of new innovations from this provider. Fortunately, a quick look around the call center furniture provider’s website can provide a sneak peek into the furniture that is forming the next generation collaboration environments.
