Avotus, provider of the ICM Usage Management solution for call center functions like call accounting, announced Tuesday that, during the first quarter of 2007, it closed 12 new major contracts, which include competitive replacements for telecom expense management (TEM) solutions.
Not only did Avotus lure business away from its competitors, but the company also reported more than 200 existing customer renewals. Among the clients to renew were several Fortune 100 companies in the high technology, financial services and Federal government markets.
Many of the customers in question are utilizing Avotus’ ICM Expense Management solution, which gives companies the tools they need to manage operational processes across the entire procurement-to-payment chain. That includes purchasing, implementation, inventory management, invoice validation, and finance management.
“We’e pleased to continue our strong growth in the telecom expense management space in the first quarter,”said Fred Lizza, president and CEO at Avotus, in a statement. “The traction we are building throughout our entire suite of ICM solutions is a reflection of the superiority of our approach and the value our customers place in our unique combination of eProcurement, expense management and usage management.”
Lizza added: “We continue to see movement by large companies to replace less capable earlier generation products in favor of newer solutions.”
Avotus offers a full suite of communications management solutions, including ICM eProcurement, ICM Expense Management, and ICM Usage Management. These solutions go beyond invoice processing, validation and reconciliation; instead the focus is on a complete lifecycle management approach. This starts with procurement and runs all the way through the lifecycle of a contract.
When Avotus set out to designed its solutions, which incorporate call accounting functions, the company built upon best practices developed during decades of telecom industry experience. The result is a suite of solutions that help companies with both compliance and consistency, preventing leakage and error while delivering verifiable and sustainable results.
To make all this possible, Avotus runs the solutions on its ICM eProcurement and WebAuction technologies, leveraging a best-in-class database composed of bid data collected during 20 years of previous auctions. This data helps Avotus in its lifecycle management approach to making sure that clients get the best terms possible for their telecom service contracts.
“As expected, so far in 2007 we are seeing a continuation and acceleration of growth in all sectors of the TEM market,” commented Eric Goodness, research vice president at Gartner (News - Alert). “Enterprises are seeing the value in improved processes and greater control over one of their largest indirect expense areas, and we also are seeing an increase in companies moving to second generation TEM solutions.”
