Samsung and Verizon Bring Office Experience to Galaxy S9 Users

As workers increasingly find themselves in non-office environments, they have a need for easy access to their business resources. In fact, ideally, they will be able to work from remote locations as seamlessly as when they are in the office. That’s what most unified communications providers seek to deliver – a consistent experience across devices and locations.
Samsung (News - Alert) and Verizon are taking that effort to a new level. Verizon already offers its One Talk solution to deliver a complete business communications solutions for all employees and executives, regardless of where they are. Now, through a collaboration with Samsung, the two are delivering tight integration between One Talk and Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and S9+ devices that further deliver on the promise of a completely untethered business communications that leverage the latest technological advances, like 5G wireless and artificial intelligence.

The new Enhanced Dialer feature effectively turns the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ into a user’s deskphone. The UI on the Galaxy devices has the look and feel of a traditional deskphone, providing easy access to basic and advanced call control features.
“Enhanced Dialer enables employees to use their smartphones to deploy all the business services they are used to, from wherever they are,” said Shawn Hakl, SVP Business Products for Verizon.
Recognizing customers’ the desire to leverage a single device for their business and personal communications, Samsung has focused delivering secure, cross-environment devices that allow users to seamlessly move between business and personal communications. That includes the Samsung Knox security platform, which is embedded into the devices ensuring its multiple layers of security are present from the moment of activation. It also includes a host of business software vendor relationships that deliver a consistent mobile experience across many software solutions.
With this joint solution with Verizon, Samsung further highlights its drive to bring increased flexibility and productivity to business through a mobile experience that mimics the office experience.
