Nextiva Furthers Green Initiatives with Carbonfund.org Partnership

In an effort to adopt a more eco-logical approach to doing business, Nextiva, a company providing affordable VoIP solutions to small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), has announced a new partnership with Carbonfund.org, one of the country's leading carbon offset organizations.

By becoming a member of Carbonfund.org's CarbonFree Partner program, Nextiva has joined a national movement of businesses and organizations that are taking a proactive approach to protect the environment. Carbonfund.org works with over 1,000 corporate and nonprofit partners including Discovery, Volkswagen, Amtrak, Dell, Orbitz, Staples, and JetBlue.

This relationship will serve to further promote and enhance Nextiva's commitment to environmental principles and sustainability. The company currently uses eco-effective technology in its data centers, recently launched a paperless fax product, created an internal recycling program, and has assigned Nextiva Green Team Members in each department to further incorporate environmentally conscious business practices.

According to T. Griffin Conrad, CEO and president of Nextiva, joining the CarbonFree Partner program is a great start for the company, but he believes they can do much more.

“Consumer interest in socially responsible business practices has never been higher, but for us going green isn't just smart business; it's an opportunity for a positive global impact.  Nextiva aims to be industry leaders in environmental performance,” said Conrad. “We hope to be only the first of many in our industry committing to progressive policies of environmental stewardship.”

“Nextiva is demonstrating initiative and responsibility in the fight on global warming by becoming a CarbonFree Partner. In the process, Nextiva is supporting Carbonfund.org’s third-party verified projects to reduce carbon emissions,” stated Carbonfund.org’s Ivan Chan, who leads the company’s communications efforts.

The CarbonFree Partner program supports renewable energy, energy efficiency, and reforestation projects in the U.S. and internationally to reduce CO2 pollution and help accelerate the transition to a clean energy future.
