UPSTACK Expands Reach, Acquires LinkSource's Network and Cloud Sourcing Business
UPSTACK has acquired the network and cloud sourcing business of LinkSource Technologies, a technology management company, and has established a strategic partnership with the company’s technology hardware sourcing business.
The New York-based company is a digital infrastructure advisory platform which started in 2017 and provides customized technology solutions for businesses of all sizes (and helps them streamline their IT architecture, procurement, and ongoing management).
As part of the acquisition and partnership deal, LinkSource CEO and founder Curt Lewis and President Jason Newbold remain invested owners in LinkSource Technologies and will continue to grow the hardware sourcing business as LinkSource Systems. The company’s goal is to reinvent the hardware sourcing business and plans to work with UPSTACK for a seamless experience for its customers.
Additional key leaders from LinkSource are Kelley Moore, Vice President of Client Services & Operations, and Frank Mastro, Vice President of Sales. (Additional team members will now join UPSTACK, too.)
“We were approached by other investors, but it quickly became clear to us that UPSTACK was the best fit for our business and employees,” said Lewis. “It came down to the people they have on board, what they’re building and their business philosophy. It wasn’t just the dollar figure; we wanted a go-forward plan for growth and opportunity, and UPSTACK delivered.”
LinkSource has been in the technology consulting business since 1998, providing telecom, cloud, and hardware procurement and management services to businesses. They manage millions of dollars in annual technology spend and offer network and cloud sourcing, along with managed services like TEM, mobility management, vendor management, and bid management.
“Curt and Jason have built LinkSource into a unique and impactful technology management business that combines a traditional commissioned agency with a direct-billed managed services provider,” said UPSTACK founder and CEO Christopher Trapp. “The combination has earned loyal customers among some of the most well-known enterprise brands. We’re excited to bring those capabilities and customers under the UPSTACK umbrella.”
The details and terms of this acquisition were not disclosed.
