RingCentral, a provider of unified communications-as-a-service (UCaaS) and contact center-as-a-service (CCaaS) platforms, recently announced an alliance with Bonn, Germany-based Deutsche Telekom AG, the largest telecommunications provider in Europe by revenue. The partnership is expected to deliver mobility-centric, flexible, easy to use, and secure cloud communication solutions to more customers than ever before.

“We’re looking forward to working closely with Deutsche Telekom to combine their amazing 4G and 5G networks with the world’s best cloud-based communications solution that includes team messaging, video meetings, and cloud phone system, to empower organizations and their people to communicate efficiently with their customers, partners, and other employees,” said Anand Eswaran, RingCentral’s President and COO, in a statement.

Hagen Rickmann, Managing Director Business Customers Telekom Deutschland GmbH, noted that for many years, Deutsche Telekom has been accompanying customers on their way to the cloud, and that the partnership will allow both companies to support customers in the introduction of modern business cloud communication solutions.

“For many years, we have been accompanying customers on their way to the cloud. The cooperation with RingCentral adds an important signpost to this,” he said.

RingCentral offers three key products in its portfolio including RingCentral MVP, a UCaaS platform including team messaging, video meetings, and cloud phone system; RingCentral Video, ?the company's video meetings solution with team messaging that enables Smart Video Meetings; and RingCentral cloud contact center solutions. The solutions are based on RingCentral’s Message Video Phone?(MVP) global platform. The platform is designed to be more flexible and cost-effective than the legacy on-premises PBX and video conferencing systems that it replaces, and empower modern mobile and distributed workforces to communicate, collaborate, and connect via any mode, any device, and any location.

Deutsche Telekom is expected to introduce the new solution to customers in the second half of 2021.
