VirtualPBX Pushes Local Calling into Canada and Mexico

Business Communication provider VirtualPBX has announced the company’s local calling range will now extend to additional locations. Customers will now be able to make local calls to Canada and Mexico, as well as Hawaii and Alaska. This expansion makes the company’s local calling free through all 50 states, all Canadian provinces, and all Mexican states without requiring additional fees.

Virtual PBX has reported that the new extension has an immediate impact for customers using both the company’s Unlimited Minutes Plan and Unlimited User Plans, which will allow them to make international calls without limitations on call times.

“This expansion of service lets our existing customers have more freedom in the way that they do business.” said VirtualPBX COO Lon Bake.“ Our international rates are low, but until now, companies would have had to consider additional per-minute costs when dialing Canada, Mexico, or even outside the contiguous U.S. That’s no longer a hurdle for businesses to offer excellent sales and customer support to their own clientele.

The intention of this new expansion is to provide customers with more freedom to expand into untapped territories, as many providers require additional costs for calls outside the continental US. By diminishing the barrier between surrounding countries, VirtualPBX customers can also take advantage of more personalized marketing for customers by using local phone numbers, which increases dramatically with new territories to access.

Bake added, “Our VoIP plans come packed with features, and now we can say that our ‘local’ minutes are truly ‘international’ minutes because they let businesses have their headquarters in one country but call often to another, or let them broaden their customer base by advertising to groups of individuals who may live outside their current market.”
