Fuze Announces New CFO and Senior Security Advisor

The cloud-based communications provider Fuze has just announced two new additions to the company’s highest leadership roles. Edward M. Durkin and Dan MacDonnell have been appointed CFO and Senior Security Advisor, respectively, as the company continues to develop its global operations.


Durkin has over 35 years of  experience in , most recently as the CFO of Actifio Inc., which develops multi-cloud enterprise data management solutions. Prior to working at Actifio, Durkin held similar leadership positions at Digital Guardian, Tactical Communications Group, and Radview Software.

“As we evolve to meet the needs of distributed workers and the global enterprise, Ed’s proven financial experience will help propel the company forward during a time of momentum in the flexible work movement,” said Brian Day, CEO, Fuze. “I look forward to working with Ed and leveraging his expertise to fuel Fuze’s global growth strategy.”

MacDonnell recently retired as Rear Admiral for the U.S. Navy, and spent his career in cybersecurity in  both federal government and civilian executive positions. Fuze intends to utilize MacDonnell’s experience for the company’s enterprise security strategy. Both MacDonnell and Durkin have been recruited during a critical time in the company’s evolution, as cloud technology demand has skyrocketed in the past year.
