Hosted communications provider Broadvoice has received a cash infusion from Crestline Investors. The company, which specializes in providing businesses with hosted voice, unified communications and SIP trunking services, announced the minority investment for an undisclosed amount.

The funds will be used to further Broadvoice's expansion in the UCaaS and CCaaS markets as well as support uninterrupted delivery of services to its national base of customers. Broadvoice's current team will continue to hold a majority stake in the company and manage its business.

"Today's transaction marks another milestone in Broadvoice's exciting history, as we continue to ramp our development, scale our operations and expand our portfolio of services," said Jim Murphy, CEO of Broadvoice. "This is an opportunity to accelerate our current growth and leverage Crestline's collective domain experience in the SaaS space. The pace of change is accelerating, and with this partnership, Broadvoice will provide even greater value to our customers, partners and employees."

The funding follows Broadvoice's announcement last month of its new Broadvoice Bubble text messaging and marketing platform. The solution allows businesses to instantly connect with customers via SMS and MMS messages. The offering enables alerts, notifications, appointment reminders and delivery tracking. It also offers customer support and a platform for marketing campaigns.

Broadvoice Bubble supports outbound as well as inbound texting along with live agent routing. Features include the ability to route customer texts to agent queues along with built-in intelligence for directing calls to specific agents or departments. The solution also includes a simple API to let business text-enable their software, applications and websites.

“Business text messaging is fast becoming the most convenient and reliable way to reach out and interact with your customers,” said Murphy. “This is even more important during the pandemic when digital strategies are the primary way to reach your customers. Broadvoice Bubble not only saves time by automating routine notifications and responses, it allows businesses to give their customers immediate and responsive service they’ll rave about. Plus, it enables businesses to drive revenue by sending promotions and special offers that customers can see and activate with one-click.”
