Cloud9 Garners $14 million in Series B

Cloud9 Technologies has closed $14 million in funding as part of its Series B. Barclays took the lead in the round. JPMorgan, which is onboarding 2,000 of its traders and salespeople to the platform, and NEX Group also participated.

Catering to institutional traders, Cloud9 Technologies provides a purpose-built, end-to-end voice communication solution. That solution handles millions of voice communications daily for more than 5,000 institutional users. And it can be integrated with third-party applications and analytics provider solutions.

The company’s new funding adds to the $30 million it garnered two years ago from Barclays, Chase, JPMorgan, NEX Group, and Point72 Ventures.

Cloud9 expects to use its new Series B funds to accelerate development and rollout of its SaaS-based voice communications platform around the world.

Cloud9 Chairman and CEO Gerald E. Starr and Chief Product Officer Steve Kammerer founded the company in 2014. The company says its mission is to empower firms with the benefits of modern communication and enhance trader workflow with actionable analytics.
