The meteoric rise of WeWork has been nothing short of spectacular. In just six years the company has increased its valuation to almost $16 billion by providing shared workspace, community and services for small businesses, startups, freelancers and entrepreneurs. The company is growing globally with locations in the U.S. and Canada as well as Australia, the UK, Israel, China and others. This community concept drives on using the most effective products to communicate and interact, and in order to make that possible the company has made Ooma the official cloud-based business VoIP phone service provider for locations in the U.S. and Canada.

The Ooma communications platform is designed for small businesses and consumers with a communications hub that provides cloud-based telephony along with Internet and home security with additional connected services. The concept of this platform is to simplify business VoIP communication with a single hub that delivers everything a business needs out of the box.

The approach Ooma has taken for business VoIP communication is similar to what WeWork is doing for its members around the world, which is to simplify the process of acquiring workspace.

“WeWork provides the sense of community and connection that brings people from companies of all sizes together, from a single entrepreneur to a huge enterprise. Ooma shares WeWork’s innovative vision and is thrilled to join the WeWork community. With Ooma Office for WeWork, WeWork members can now take advantage of Ooma’s full suite of powerful cloud communications tools to grow their business,” said Eric Stang, CEO of Ooma.

As part of this service, WeWork will have access to an IP phone, free activation, a toll-free phone number, and virtual fax and conferencing capabilities. WeWork members will also be able to keep their existing numbers and port them to Ooma Office for free to provide business continuity for their customers.

The Ooma Office platform delivers enterprise-grade phone service for small businesses supporting up to 20 users that is flexible and allows users to access the system from a regular analog phone, an IP Phone, and a mobile smartphone via the Ooma Office app. This includes multiple call forwarding to different phones at the same time, including mobile phones. This type of connectivity will give the WeWork members a platform in which they will always be available, whether they're in the office or on location.
